The political climate is harmful on those alien planets, and the new Enterprise was built for stability, firepower, and versatility in exploration. The design of the Odyssey class ship looks like the Sovereign class with some reminders of the Excelsior class.

The release date for this new class of starship has not been announced, but it is expected to be obtainable to Star Trek Online players inside the next couple of months. Cryptic Studios has stated that the Enterprise-F will be introduced throughout an upcoming series inside the MMO.
