Marvel comics started in 1939 with comic books for all people to enjoy. However, as we grow into adulthood many of these things tend to get lost and forgotten about. Many of us will even admit that we still enjoy looking at them. Just because we had to grow up and take on adult responsibilities does not mean that we need to leave everything from our childhood behind. The Marvel comics were started in 1939 and it is easy to see that they are still enjoyed. All these brave hearts and the saviors of the world were brought to the readers of all ages by Marvel comics. Maybe it helps us remember the easy times in our lives.

Martin Goodman started this company years ago and it was called Timely Publications at that time. It was then purchase by Walt Disney in 2009.

The comic books that we love were made successful because people bought them. But those characters owe their existence to a bevy of talented writers and art directors who created spell binding stories with them. Some of these men include Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and it is easy to see that they were very talented.

The first hero that the company made was the Human Torch and many people probably remember him. It was a runaway hit.Then the patriotic superhero called Captain America can about. He was also a great hit and he circulated like wild fire.

You may be able to remember most of the characters but you probably cannot remember them all. Apart from the creative team, the marketing, sales, finance, circulation people also left no stone unturned in giving the best services to the readers.

The popularity of the comics is so huge that the characters were taken from the pages of the comics to the cinema screen. That is why many of them were actually made into movies and you can watch them come to life in the movie theater.

Marvel comics is based in New York and they are still successful today as they have theme parks and video games about their characters. That does not mean that they have not faced their share of challenges. They even lost several of their writers as they left and formed their own company which is called Image comics. But such incidents occur to all huge companies and Marvel also took it in its stride.
