When starting a new hobby, it is certainly important for one to become familiar with the terms often used in this field. Of course, the world of trucks remote control is no exception, it also has a language of its own.

ARR / RTR - Some trucks remote control is almost completely factory assembled. ARR stands for Almost Ready-to-run, while RTR is Ready-to-Run, usually identical the former but with a radio system. ARR and RTR trucks cost a little more models unassembled, but they are almost ready to run right out of the box.

Chassis - This is the context in which the components of a truck mounted. It can be made robust composite aluminum or graphite. The frame word is sometimes used to refer to an entire vehicle, excluding body, wheels and tires.

Electric Starter - A hand electric motor used for starting an engine model, generally powered by a battery of 12 volts. Electric starters are generally designed for airplane engines and require an adapter to work with truck engines.

Electronic Speed Control (ESC) - This replaces the mechanical speed control and servo typically found in "entry" level control electric distance trucks. THESE able to increase efficiency and accuracy while reducing the weight of a model for better performance.

Monster Truck - Monster trucks are large and designed for torque instead of speed. They can move the hills, down slopes, and even on other cars.

Servo - The electromechanical device that moves the throttle or control surfaces of the truck according to commands from the receiver.

Stadium truck - trucks stage of the remote, like their counterparts of normal size, are constructed to take. They are designed for all races Out with truck suspensions, oversized shocks and large tires which enable them to survive in the toughest conditions.

Throttle - To increase or decrease acceleration, handling the throttle. It is one that changes the voltage of the motor truck, the fuel / air mixture from the engine.

Tie rods - Tie rods provide management control by attaching the servo to the front wheels. They "tie" the two pieces together.
